Picking up on the theme of my last blog about devoted things – the just concluded Momentum Europe Impact Tour was full of devoted people giving their Leadership, Influence, Finances and Expertise to create an incredible week of ministry.
Eighteen of us – international participants representing Momentum Europe partners from the US, the Christian Embassy from Canada and Momentum Europe associates and friends from Germany – coming together in Romania to help connect leaders to the irresistible love of Jesus. We were blown away by the opportunities the Lord had waiting for us.
Outreach events built around the theme, “The Heart of a Leader” provided opportunities to introduce the Gospel in large group gatherings. Workshops built around a similar theme gave our team the opportunity to present their testimonies in the context of building motivation, credibility, integrity and so forth.
Personal mentoring opportunities gave us reasons to connect with very sharp young Romanian business men and women – Christian and non-Christian alike – to serve them in terms of their personal development plans, even as we looked for opportunities to help them grow in their walk with, or knowledge of, Jesus.
Personal appointments with influential leaders in the government built bridges that can open further doors for the Gospel. “Recruiting” events in both Bucharest and the northern Romanian city of Suceava, left behind at least two dozen leaders who want to be part of a spiritual movement to reach influential leaders in Romania with the love of Jesus.
The key? Prayer, which led to unity among the participants and our Romanian ministry colleagues. The unity among the team was palpable and attractive. It’s hard to describe the energy in each large meeting or personal appointment apart from the Holy Spirit simply working through each of the 18 participants.
In one way or another we had the chance to touch to close to 150 lives during our week in Romania, and these were high quality touches with impact that will continue to grow. In many ways it was a week of Momentum Europe at it’s best – serving, sharing, envisioning, loving, blessing, praying and in the end helping to build true spiritual momentum.
