Momentum Europe works with Cru missionaries to share the Gospel with business, government, and society leaders throughout Europe.
Momentum Europe’s vision is a spiritual renewal in Europe as Cru missionaries reach leaders with the Gospel in every major European city. Our mission is to develop a network of volunteers and partners who invest their prayers, influence, and finances to help Cru missionaries share the Gospel with European business, government, and society leaders.
Cru is known for reaching college students with the Gospel, but Roger and Sara Randall, Cru’s Vice President of Europe in the early 2000s, desired to reach influential leaders as well. They invited five couples to a weekend in Vail, Colorado to pray, dream and plan together how to share the Gospel with European leaders of business, government, and society… and Momentum Europe was launched.
The Randalls and another couple moved to the south of France, near both Cannes and Monaco. Together they took the first steps to establish an outpost in Europe uniquely focused on reaching leaders.
Soon after, the Randalls and those first couples began hosting small events to capture the hearts of like-minded people who wanted to invest their prayers, expertise, and finances to advance the Gospel of Christ in Europe. Momentum Europe started to grow! Volunteers prayed for missionaries and travelled to Europe to participate in Gospel outreaches. They financially supported outreach efforts in Europe.
The first Momentum Europe conference was held in 2008 to develop and mobilize volunteers and partners to collaborate with Cru missionaries to reach business, government, and society leaders in Europe.
Why Leaders?

The Apostle Paul often focused on leaders as part of his evangelism strategy:
The leading men and women at the Areopagus in Athens (Acts 17:19-34)
A wealthy businesswoman in Philippi (Acts 16:14-15)
A synagogue leader in Corinth (Acts 18:1-11)
Caesar’s imperial guard (Phil. 1:12-13; 4:22)
Leaders from the secular world who come to Christ can become much needed ministry leaders.
Leaders can introduce others to Christ: the whole family of the wealthy businesswoman from Philippi came to faith. She also hosted the church in her
home.
